my name is emily de lima.
I am a Brazilian-American artist and designer based in Queens, NYC, working across various mediums.
I recently graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor's of architecture degree and am currently a design and drafting teacher at the high school for math, science, and engineering.
My work explores themes of origin, cultural sensitivity, and how things function, often examining our relationship with nature and how knowledge is passed through stories, traditions, and craft. I often think about how we as humans have used these methods to understand the meaning we create across time and place.
